    I think im going to wait to install OS 27.

    I am staying on OS 26 for a few more months, My IOS devices are on 27, But my watch and mac are going to stay on 26.

    OUCH!!!! OK, I'll wait some time too...

    I'm more worried about lack of Rosetta in 27 atm. that kills my Mac in Windows gaming scenarios that with Wine packaging, requires it today.

    25GB is nothing when my Macbook has 2TB storage today.

    if I want it or if I want to switch AI off is a different question.
    I neve switch Siri on outside some initial test to listen to that "chick from iPhone" talking nonsense for a while.. as some joke for fun.

    Rosatta uninstalls by default, but you can add it back after the upgrade
    really easilly .... softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

    Works fine on my M4 .. I have no issues with 27.1, docker, and all my
    regular apps run perfectly.

    Rosatta uninstalls by default, but you can add it back after the upgrade really easilly .... softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

    Works fine on my M4 .. I have no issues with 27.1, docker, and all my regular apps run perfectly.

    Point is that Apple claims to remove rosetta completely from MacOs28+ so no chance to install it manually then if I understand the message correctly.

    I hope I understand it wrong tho.

    Based on https://support.apple.com/en-ca/102527 you are good on 27, they
    are dumping it on 28. For what I use my mac for, I am fine with that,
    but I can see it affecting a lot of people who want to run x86 legacy
    stuff.

    but I can see it affecting a lot of people who want to run x86 legacy stuff.

    me wine and windows games with DX12->Metal toolkit that does magic on silicon macs and mainstream games.. like really I don't need windows at all with it.
