Take a look at NYC's budget its larger than Florida's budget. NYC is a state whereas NYC is a city and the state is larger than the city.

I forget exactly how many BILLIONS & BILLIONS Florida gained from NY's issues, but almost right away Ron was looking at ways to return the fortune to the tax payers.

With the primaries over in Florida, they went the way I hoped they would. BUT I panicked for a 1/2 second thinking about the new Governor... Byron Donals, not because he's not awesome but rather how awesomer Ron DeSantis is/was. He'll be a hard act to follow.

And again, we aren't in that place any more. Midterms are coming and if the Republicans win the Democrats will be crying foul and if the Democrats win the Republicans will be doing the same.

The only fix is election integrity. Prove you are a citizen, have ID to prove you are who you say you are. And some restrictions on mail in ballots.

RINO Lisa Murkowski... Independent News went to polling place and asked for Lisa's brother's ballot... without ID and they were going to give it to them... They did the same for one of Lisa's staff.

The purpose of this was to show how easy it was to cheat if there is no ID requirements.

What happened to me, and what I noticed, is that life here became extremely more expensive after 2 events. The first one was the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the second one was that unnecesary war against Iran which, let's be fair, the US is not winning (I'm not talking about losing).

The monthly provisions for the heating bill paid to the gas company went up from 79 Euro (about US$) a month to 275 Euro (over US$ 300). That's an increase on annual basis of US$2,634 ... that's close to 1/12 of my annual retirement income. Money I had planned to spend for the schooling of my grandchildren.

At the pump for my car (I drive a diesel) I now pay 2.12 Euro/liter which equals around $2.25 US$. Per gallon I pay US$ 8.19. After Ukraine it went up and eventually went down and settled at like a 40 Eurocent (about US$0.45) surplus, that's about US$ 1.55 up per gallon. After Iran it went up and stabilised at an additional surplus of 0.70 Eurocent per liter (that's like US$.70) for a $US 2.71/gallon where it leveled off.

Regular gas for a car now costs US$6.95/gallon and premium US$7.84/gallon.

I stopped driving, it becomes unaffordable and we all get to thank 2 stable geniuses for it and their wild dreams not supported by reality.

If I had voting power in your elections, my wallet would do the voting.

Because people weren't held accountable for their actions.

Once the deficit is fixed, we should institute a new rule for Congress-critters: They are fined 1% of the Federal Debt every year there is one. And give them a carrot too: If there's a surplus, they get a bonus.

Hold them accountable and things will correct themselves.

Welp, on the Ukraine front I think you have a point. Joe and Kamala started that one. I've come to the understanding that the Elites of the world make money off wars so Russia/Ukraine is no surprise to me. This depends on who you mean by "US intelligence." When a feeble leader, with strings fully visible, becomes president of the USA, it opens a window of opportunity. Add that to Russian troops aggressively deploying along the border with Ukraine, which is not a common occurrence, and what's the sum?

In the USA, the president has the power to deploy troops for up to ~90 days. Aside from that, the president of the USA has lots of diplomatic power.

I know the feeling. To some extent they know who they're messing with; 1/2 the state (or more) is conservative, so if they want to do terrible things, they should do it a little at a time in places like NY & MI.
